• TARGET AUDIENCE
  This program is intended for medical oncologists, hematologists, hematology-oncology fellows, radiation oncologists, surgeons and other allied healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of breast cancer.
  
  LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Appreciate the incidence of trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (TROP2) overexpression in patients with breast cancer, and reflect on the ramifications for prognosis and disease management.
  • Consider clinical research data with TROP2-directed antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for patients with metastatic breast cancer in order to optimally integrate available agents into routine clinical care.
  • Recognize the side effects and toxicities associated with FDA-approved TROP2-directed ADCs used for metastatic breast cancer, and identify strategies to manage and mitigate these complications.
  • Evaluate the scientific justification for the use of TROP2-directed ADCs in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy or in earlier lines of treatment, including the adjuvant setting, and reflect on ongoing trials investigating these approaches.

  Successful completion of these CME activities, which includes participation in the evaluation components and post-tests, enables the participant to earn up to 0.75 (audio) and 0.5 (video) Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for each activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
