CE Information and Faculty Disclosures

  • TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of ovarian cancer.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Assess potential biomarkers of response to PARP inhibition to optimize the selection of available genetic testing platforms and related therapeutic interventions for patients with ovarian cancer (OC).
    • Appraise published efficacy and safety data with PARP inhibitors in patients with advanced OC harboring a BRCA1/2 mutation, and consider the diagnostic and therapeutic implications of these findings for nonresearch care.
    • Appreciate available Phase III data documenting the efficacy of maintenance PARP inhibition for patients with advanced OC with BRCA mutations, and consider the potential role of this strategy in clinical practice.
    • Describe the scientific rationale for tumor treating fields as a therapeutic approach for patients with OC.
    • Consider emerging activity and tolerability findings with novel antibody-drug conjugates under investigation for the treatment of OC resistant to standard therapies.
    • Recall the design of ongoing clinical trials evaluating novel agents and strategies for OC, and counsel appropriate patients about availability and participation.
