    This activity is intended for hematologists, medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of lung cancer.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Evaluate best-practice approaches employed by comprehensive cancer centers to help minimize the risk of coronavirus infection for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC).
    • Individualize the selection of systemic therapy for patients with NSCLC or SCLC to account for the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic and help reduce the potential for SARS-CoV-2 exposure.
    • Appreciate the rationale for and appropriateness of adapting specific lung cancer management and follow-up practices to limit in-person interaction in response to the current need for social distancing.
    • Recall recently presented findings from the TERAVOLT registry and other efforts evaluating the impact of COVID-19 on mortality and other outcomes among patients with lung cancer.
    • Consider expert perspectives and real-world experiences when implementing a plan of care for patients with lung cancer who have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
