  This activity is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer.
  
  LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Recognize the molecular heterogeneity of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and appreciate the efforts to exploit documented abnormalities in the RET pathway.
  • Assess published clinical trial data informing the recent FDA approvals of selpercatinib and pralsetinibfor patients with previously treated metastatic NSCLC harboring a RET gene fusion, and identify individuals for whom treatment with these novel agents would be warranted.
  • Implement a plan to manage the side effects associated with approved RET inhibitors to support quality of life and continuation of treatment.
  • Recollect the designs of ongoing clinical trials evaluating novel agents and strategies for NSCLC with RET fusion, and identify patients who may qualify for participation.
