    This activity is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of lung cancer.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Review recent therapeutic advances related to the use of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies as monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy for patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without targetable mutations.
    • Consider available data and patient- or disease-related factors in the selection of systemic therapy for patients with metastatic NSCLC without actionable mutations.
    • Educate patients about the unique side effects associated with immune checkpoint inhibitors in the management of metastatic NSCLC, and develop strategies to prevent, reduce or manage toxicities.
    • Recall the published data and ongoing clinical trials evaluating novel agents and strategies for metastatic NSCLC without a tumor driver mutation, and counsel appropriate patients about trial availability and participation.
