CE Information and Faculty Disclosures

  • TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Recognize the molecular heterogeneity of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and appreciate the biologic rationale for efforts to exploit documented abnormalities in the MET pathway.
    • Assess published clinical trial data informing the recent FDA approvals of capmatinib and tepotinib for metastatic NSCLC with a MET exon 14 skipping mutation, and identify patients for whom treatment with these novel agents would be warranted.
    • Implement a plan to manage the side effects associated with approved MET inhibitors to support quality of life and continuation of treatment.
    • Recollect the designs of ongoing clinical trials evaluating novel agents and strategies for NSCLC with MET amplification or overexpression or MET exon 14 mutation, and identify patients who may qualify for study participation.
