CE Information and Faculty Disclosures

  • TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of lung cancer.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Appreciate Phase III clinical trial findings supporting the use of adjuvant osimertinib after complete resection for patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR mutations, and consider the potential effects of this information on current and future clinical practice.
    • Describe mechanisms of tumor resistance to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors, and determine how available and investigational therapies can be optimally employed in the protocol and nonresearch care of patients with progressive EGFR-mutated disease.
    • Understand the biologic rationale for and emerging clinical trial data with novel therapeutic approaches for patients with NSCLC with EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations.
    • Recall novel agents and approaches under investigation for patients with NSCLC with EGFR mutations and the unique toxicities associated with these therapies.
