    This program is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other allied healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Develop an understanding of the biologic rationale for the use of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy directed at the B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) as a targeted therapeutic strategy in multiple myeloma (MM), and recognize the similarities and differences between the various investigational products.
    • Appreciate available efficacy and safety data with CAR T-cell therapies directed at BCMA, and identify patients with relapsed/refractory MM for whom this approach may be appropriate.
    • Recognize adverse events associated with investigational CAR T-cell therapies directed at BCMA to appropriately counsel patients with MM about the potential risks of this type of treatment.
    • Assess ongoing research studies evaluating CAR T-cell-based approaches for patients with MM, and counsel appropriate individuals regarding the potential benefits of trial participation.
