    This educational activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other allied cancer professionals.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Evaluate the best-practice approaches of disease-specific experts to help minimize the risk of coronavirus infection in both inpatient and outpatient cancer treatment settings.
    • Individualize the selection of systemic therapy for patients with early and advanced cancers to account for the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic and help reduce the potential for SARS-CoV-2 exposure.
    • Consider the rationale for and appropriateness of adapting specific cancer management and follow-up practices to limit in-person interaction in light of the current need for social distancing.
    • Appraise expert perspectives and real-world experiences when implementing a plan of care for patients with various cancers who are diagnosed with COVID-19.
