    This activity is intended for hematologists, medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Consider the evidence-based therapeutic options for patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), and develop clinical algorithms to enhance quality and quantity of life for patients with these distinct yet related diseases.
    • Recall emerging research data with novel JAK inhibitors in the treatment of myelofibrosis, and prepare for their potential availability in clinical practice.
    • Develop a plan to manage the side effects associated with commercially available therapies for MPN to support quality of life and continuation of treatment.
    • Recall promising agents and strategies under investigation for acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes and MPN, and counsel appropriately selected patients about clinical trial enrollment.
