CE Information and Faculty Disclosures

  • TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is intended for medical oncologists, hematologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other allied healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Recognize the molecular heterogeneity of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and appreciate the biologic rationale for efforts to exploit documented abnormalities in HER2.
    • Consider available clinical research with novel HER2-directed therapies for HER2-mutant and HER2-overexpressed NSCLC, and discern the current and future clinical applicability of these strategies.
    • Recall common and rare side effects associated with novel HER2-targeted agents employed in the care of patients with NSCLC, and use this information to develop supportive management plans for those undergoing treatment for this disease.
    • Recollect the designs of ongoing clinical trials evaluating novel agents and strategies for HER2-altered NSCLC in order to identify patients who may qualify for study participation.
