• TARGET AUDIENCE
  This activity is intended for medical oncologists, nurses, radiology oncologists, hematology oncologists and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm.
  
  LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Recognize blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) as a distinct clinical entity with unique disease characteristics and biomarker profile, and differentiate it from other hematologic cancers and autoimmune/inflammatory conditions.
  • Review the biological rationale for, published efficacy and safety data with and FDA-approved indication for CD123-targeted therapy for BPDCN, and apply this information to the care of appropriately selected patients.
  • Implement a plan of care to recognize and manage side effects and toxicities associated with CD123-targeted therapy for BPDCN.
  • Appreciate available efficacy and safety findings with investigational CD123-targeted therapies, including antibody-drug conjugates, that have demonstrated promising activity in the treatment of BPDCN, in preparation for the potential commercial availability of these agents.
  • Recollect other agents and strategies under evaluation for BPDCN, and counsel appropriately selected patients about participation in active research protocols.

  Successful completion of these CME activities, which includes participation in the evaluation components and short post-tests, enables the participant to earn up to 1.25 (audio), 0.75 (video) and 1 (lecture) Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
