  This activity is intended for medical oncologists, nurses, radiology oncologists and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of multiple myeloma.
  
  LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Appraise the pharmacologic, structural and mechanistic similarities and differences among available anti-CD38 monoclonal antibodies, and appreciate distinguishing features of various agents.
  • Review published clinical trial data informing the front-line use of monoclonal antibody therapy directed at CD38 for patients with multiple myeloma (MM) eligible or ineligible for stem cell transplant, and effectively identify whether, when and how this strategy should be integrated into clinical management.
  • Consider published research findings and other clinical factors in the best-practice selection, sequencing and combining of anti-CD38 targeted agents and regimens for patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) MM.
  • Evaluate the spectrum, incidence and severity of side effects associated with anti-CD38 antibody-containing multiagent regimens in order to counsel patients and develop plans to prevent or mitigate toxicities.
  • Recall the rationale for and design of ongoing clinical trials evaluating anti-CD38 monoclonal antibodies in combination with other antimyeloma agents in the newly diagnosed and R/R disease settings, and counsel appropriately selected patients about availability and participation.

  Successful completion of these CME activities, which includes participation in the evaluation components and short post-tests, enables the participant to earn up to 1.5 (audio), 1 (video) and 0.75 (lecture) Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
