    This program is intended for medical oncologists, hematologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other allied healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of cancers.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Appreciate the clinical significance of recent research advances in oncology, and recognize the potential benefits of clinical trial participation for patients with various forms of cancer.
    • Assess published data documenting the underrepresentation of diverse patient populations in cancer research studies, and consider possible cultural, societal and socioeconomic causes of this phenomenon.
    • Evaluate the potential role of novel educational strategies and approaches in broadening oncology clinical trial availability and enrollment among diverse populations, and identify opportunities to implement these interventions.
