• TARGET AUDIENCE
  This activity is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of endometrial cancer.
  
  LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Appraise the biologic rationale for, published research data with and ongoing evaluation of immune checkpoint inhibitors in the management of endometrial cancer, and identify patients who may be eligible for this strategy in or outside of a clinical research setting.
  • Review available data with anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies for patients with microsatellite instability (MSI)-high/mismatch repair-deficient (dMMR) endometrial cancer in order to personalize treatment recommendations.
  • Assess the recent FDA approval of pembrolizumab in combination with lenvatinib for patients with advanced endometrial cancer that is not MSI-high/dMMR who experience disease progression after prior systemic therapy but are not candidates for curative surgery or radiation therapy, and optimally integrate this novel regimen into clinical management algorithms.
  • Design and implement a plan of care to manage side effects and toxicities associated with immune checkpoint inhibitor-based therapies in the treatment of endometrial cancer, in order to support quality of life and continuation of therapy.
  • Recall the mechanisms of action, emerging efficacy data and toxicity profiles of novel agents and strategies under investigation for endometrial cancer, and effectively prioritize clinical trial opportunities for eligible patients.
