    This activity is intended for medical, surgical and radiation oncologists and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of breast cancer.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    • Utilize validated biomarkers and multigene assays to both risk stratify and individualize the treatment of breast cancer.
    • Assimilate new clinical trial evidence into the best-practice local and systemic management of early breast cancer.
    • Apply the results of emerging research with targeted agents to optimize outcomes for patients with HER2-positive breast cancer.
    • Counsel patients with metastatic breast cancer about the benefits and risks of available hormonal, cytotoxic and biologic interventions.
    • Recall the results of pivotal trials introducing effective new breast cancer therapeutics, and identify their effect on existing treatment algorithms.
